Biorhythms - Theory

What are biorhythms?

A human being as well as nature can be described with periods, that is why a man is exposed to the periodic influences. Lunar cycles, winter-summer seasons and day-night changing are considered to be external influence’s factors. On the other hand the “biological clock” determines a person’s life. In the East the biorhythms had been known long before 3000 years ago. The famous "Book Of Changes" which predicts the future and gives advice for any occasion was written on its basis.

The first studies of biorhythms were made in Berlin in the 19th century by scientist Wilhelm Fliess. Dr. Fliess developed two major biorhythm theories: first, that Nature bestows on man "master internal clocks" which begin counting time at birth and continue throughout life; and second, that one of these clocks regulates a 23-day cycle influencing man's physical condition and another regulates a 28-day cycle influencing emotions or degree of sensitivity.

Nowadays the biorhythmic theory can explain the reasons of being in good or bad state without the apparent cause; being tired when a person is fit for nothing; feeling surge of strength to do one’s best.

The theory makes it possible to know for sure when a person can get the best of it in business, sport, education and even in private life. Biorhythms are also widely used to prevent accidents, to control the person’s state of health and to predict the possibility of people’s compatibility.

Each of these biorhythms starts at the time of birth. Cycle is divided into active phase (above zero level) and passive one (below zero). The day of changing phase, when one or more rhythms are changing from active to passive phase and vice versa is a critical day. During the critical day the associated abilities are unstable, and it is wise to be really careful during that day.

Primary rhythms

The three primary biorhythm cycles are:

Physical: The 23-day physical cycle tracks the man's strength, endurance, powers and state of health.

Emotional: The 28-day emotional cycle tracks the stability and positive energy of your psyche and outlook on life, as well as your capacity to empathize with and build rapport with other people.

Intellectual: The 33-day cycle is representative of man's intellectual dynamics: verbal, mathematical, symbolic, and creative abilities, as well as your capacity to apply reason and analysis to the world around you.

Additional rhythm

Intuitive: The 38-day cycle was discovered later and can't be considered as a primary one. However it may be useful to know when you can trust your “sixth sense”. The cycle tracks an unconscious perception and instincts.

Extra rhythms (Intuitive patterns)

The three extra cycles that derive from the primaries are:

Perception - comes from interaction between the Physical and Intuitive cycles.

Psychic - is the combination of the Emotional and Intuitive cycles.

Success - is created by interference between the Intellectual and Intuitive cycles.

The Physical/Intuition pattern is probably the hardest of the basic patterns to name. That's probably because Physical and Intuition are
diametrically opposed on the surface. On the contrary, they are the same as all extremes meet. Physical covers the 5 basic senses that everyone is aware of and Intuition embodies the etheric (electromagnetic) senses that are just beyond the reach of conventional science. Many plants and animals on this planet have been proven by science to have perceptions beyond that which most people realize, and untold unsolved crimes have been solved with the help of Psychics.
This pattern was named the PERCEPTION pattern for obvious reasons.
Emotional/Intuition is the PSYCHIC pattern (ESP, Precognition, Remote Viewing, etc.), and Intellectual/Intuition is the SUCCESS pattern (Business, Financial, Scientific discoveries, etc.).

Note: Extra rhythms are experimental. You may find more info in the article Biorhythms, I-Ching, Behavior, and Animals

I-Ching rhythms

Aesthetic - the 43-day cycle influences harmony and interest in beautiful.

Self-awareness - the 48-day cycle influences confidence and self-awareness.

Spiritual rhythm - the 53-day cycle influences inner stability and attitude.

The critical days

Critical days are days when one's biometric cycle changes from positive to negative and vice versa. The changes in the cycle are characterized by instability of capabilities that are related to a particular biorhythm.

Physical instability

Be careful when using tools and appliances, working with fire or electricity, or when operating machinery or transports. Accidents or injuries may occur on the job.

Emotional instability

Extreme sensitivity and emotional instability may affect everything, from work to personal relationships. You may be hard to understand. Don't let your emotions carry you away. Try to concentrate.

Intellectual instability

You may come up with original ideas that are unrealistic or impractical or ideas that you yourself may not be willing to realize. Your mind may be scattered and your decision-making impulsive. It's better to hold off on scientific experiments and research.

Intuitive instability

You may be disillusioned about the prospects and realization of projects. You may experience insecurity or feel irrational fear. Today you may lack your usual diplomacy and manners, opening up the possibility of conflicts.
